As per recent order dated 05.05.2022 by Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, Polyhedrane materials such as LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE are made under BIS registration mandatory while import in India.
However as per the the order copy there is extension provided till 03.10.2022, but later on BIS will be mandatory for importing these products in India.

The government of India (GOI) has announced an extension on the deadline for the implementation of the quality certifications mandated by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on Polyethylene Material for Moulding and Extrusion (HDPE, LDPE, and LLDPE) and EVA till 3rd October 2023.
