As per BIS department in India, Welding rods and electrodes are industrial products that are used during the process of joining metals together during welding processes.
In continuation of its dedication to safeguard consumers’ interest and well-being, the Government of India has issued the Quality Control Order (QCO) on Welding Rods and Electrodes.
As per this QCO, these products can only be manufactured, sold or imported with a BIS licence. Any non-compliance with this order shall be subjected to punishment as per BIS Act 2016.
