Hi, attached herewith the Gazette Order issued by Ministry of Chemicals And Fertilizers, India,  regarding Amendment to the Lauric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2022.

The products like Lauric Acid,Acid Oil,Palm Fatty Acids,Rice Bran Fatty Acids, Coconut Fatty Acids,e Hydrogenated Rice Bran Fatty Acids will be under compulsury BIS registration from 24.04.2024 for importing these goods in India.

Users  may take note of the same.

Public contact facility

Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) will conduct VC on all working days from 1000hrs to 1100hrs with stakeholders of BIS with effective from 19/06/2023. Stakeholders of BIS can participate in VC and provide their queries, suggestions, feedback, complaints, etc

Hello users, if you check attached JNPT Customs Public Notice No 28/2023 dated 06.04.2023 regarding Clearance of import consignments where duty is not being reflected in ICES after payments.

It allowes some specific importers only any not for all importers, the Question is, are the other small and medium importers Money and loss does not matter to CBIC/ CUSTOM ?

Why they are exempted from this facility ? what are their fault ? do they have to bare the shipping companies and cfs detention even after payment has been debited from their account but not reflecting in icegate system against the bill of entry ?

We request to CBIC to extend this facility to all importers with the same or more tough condition as mentioned in P. Notice, Banks rules are same for all, either any AEO or normal importers .

    Sir, it's not necessary to register on Icegate for duty payment. you can ask your custom broker to pay the custom duty or you can pay through your bank via rtgs Or neft offline ask your custom broker to share mandate form for the duty payment.

    yes you are right and it can be done. we have experience of same situation earlier when PMC bank got closed but we had done payment to shipper and the ad code of PMC bank was submitted in Boe . then remaining payment was done by another bank .     yes you are right and it can be done. we have experience of same situation earlier when PMC bank got closed but we had done payment to shipper and the ad code of PMC bank was submitted in Boe . then remaining payment was done by another bank . However the 2nd bank asked to provide the details of earlier payment from 1st bank and their ad code to close the sattalement in their account.
