At Nhava Sheva All the empty container yards charging unloading charges from Rs. 0/- to 4000/- Rs and might be this is the all over Indian port wise practice if not wrong, and no one cares about it.

But does any one think that what is the reason that every yard have different price range? and what is the extra expertise in unloading of container from truck by the empty yards? and why such amount ?

Can’t be it regularized on uniform basis, because all that amount got added in cost of the goods, either its imported or exported which increased its price.

Most of lines like wan hai , interasia etc collect the empty off loading charges in their delivery order fees and mention clearly on their empty return letter that the empty yard can not ask for any empty off loading charges.

This practice save lots of transport operators funds and also cash transactions involement, the empty yard operators even do not issue correct invoice some times in favour of actual consignee and that is bog gst issue faced by importers.

Just assume the amount on per container and calculate the avrage containers movement just from nhava sheva port and then all over india. 

Recently transport operators has called for strike and then they were assured that this issue will be regularised, but still no proper order or action were seen.

The transport operators are again in mood to call a strike if this not resolved earliest.
