Hello, The list attached here shows products under Indian standard by BIS department.

But are these products comes under compulsory safety requirements ? which means if any of these products imported in India, must required BIS registration no? Or

This list of products are only defining Indian standard and
The BIS is mandatory on only those imported products, which products ministry has issued specific Gazzate notification specifying the compulsory safety requirements for such products and informing to BIS department.

if any one have some information and knowledge then please share in answer to clarify this doubt and stop the misuse by any.

    As per my information the Compulsory registration order (CRO) for BIS requirements regarding any products issued by the respective ministry of such product and not by BIS.     As per my information the Compulsory registration order (CRO) for BIS requirements regarding any products issued by the respective ministry of such product and not by BIS.
    So if any products are included by the respective ministry in CRO vide official notification then only compulsory BIS registration is required on import of such products.
