DGFT is in the process of harmonising the extant Schedule-II (Export Policy) to the 8-
digit ITC(HS) codes, in lieu of the description-based Export Policy, as ITC(HS) Code mapped Export Policy has become a pre-requisite to streamline the process of Export Control and Facilitation, and also provide greater clarity and easy reference to Export Policy for all stakeholders.
