Also known as puntotagliato in Italian, cut work is a form of needlework technique where an embroidery design is made on a linen or cotton cloth with two main stitches:the running or buttonhole stitch. After making the embroiderythe parts within the embroidery are cut away to create holes and showing this way the elaborate designs.
